ICAN Sweeps Board of Trade Awards
St. John’s, NL – December 9, 2005 – ICAN was presented with three awards
Wednesday at the St. John’s
Board of Trade’s 13th Annual Awards Luncheon held at the Delta Hotel in
downtown St. John’s. ICAN’s honors included two Business Achievement Awards
for Innovation and Growth in Domestic/Export Markets, as well as the
prestigious Business Excellence Award.
The St. John’s Board of Trade presents the awards on an annual basis to
recognize excellence among its membership. Business Achievement Awards are
presented in eight categories and the Business Excellence Award goes to the
winner of a Business Achievement Award who best exemplifies the
entrepreneurial spirit, and has demonstrated outstanding achievement and
commitment to excellence in business and quality in their field of endeavor.
ICAN President Neil Chaulk was overwhelmed by the three awards and
attributed the success to the entire staff: “It takes a team to do all of
the things that we do. It’s not one person,” he said, adding, “We truly
appreciate these awards, but it is the customers’ smiles that really matter.
And we will try to live up to this honor by keeping those customers
smiling.”
